Quadracer...... not sure what you are on about here. What button and what does it do?

It's an auto, you have to press a button on the side to select drive or reverse. When in reverse you can select drive ok without pressing it. Also awkward is you push the gear leaver forward to go backwards and pull it backwards to go forwards. My last vehicle a Jeep and I have a John Deere tractor are both forwards for forwards and backwards for reverse. Jumped in yesterday and nearly hit my own garage wall. I'll get used to it I suppose.

You do sort of get used to it, but not instinctive and easy to forget if in a hurry or when distracted.
I wish someone would explain the logic because I can't
