Wife woke me a couple of hours ago with the sad news ago and I couldn't get back to sleep.
Have got Hunky Dory on now in the background.
Back in the early 70's my musical heroes were Bolan/Bowie/Roxy Music. Artists that went on to inspire so many of the bands I enjoy now.

After leading a very musical childhood, I only got into Bowie my late 20s and remember thinking "how did all of this pass me bye?!". A very interesting man (/creature!) who made some awesome tunes.
