Dashboard Removal

Has anybody on here ever replaced the whole dashboard on their Z4. My 2004 model has glue damage on the dash that refuses to come of and the vinyl material has been lifted by whatever was stuck to it. I know I can pick up a replacement dash on ebay for a reasonable price, but is fitting it a DIY job? If anybody has pictures ever better. I have found a couple of articles on tinternet, but as clear as mud

Nobody as far as I'm aware has done this. Can't see why it would be to difficult though.

I looked into getting a replacement for my old car when I retrofitted Nav. Luckily I didn't need it. I would have swapped myself though.

I did think as much, I presume I will have to start with the console first and then tackle the dash

Unless you couldn't get to some of the fixings I don't see why you would need to remove the centre console.

Have you got a copy of TIS?

If not get on eBay and order one. Will tell you exactly how to do it. Only £5 ish.

That sounds like a very good idea, the versions I can see on Ebay are from the US so I presume they will be for LHD, is there a version for a RHD car?
