dashboard crack - dealer issue?

So i finally purchased a z4 coupe about 2 weeks ago with lots of help from people on here. After thinking about the warranty issue detailed in another thread i decided to take the plunge. Everything has been perfect and I'm very happy with everything. The only issue is that I've just noticed a small crack on the dash trim. Do you think i'll be able to take it back to the dealer to correct? Or is this something i have to live with. i wouldn't mind but its cracked near a thin piece of the dash. Also if you look at the second pic its slightly warped near the stereo, its very hard to is this normal?

Thanks

To me it looks as if the trim hasn't been fitted correctly. I'm assuming the trim is backed by aluminium like the brushed aluminium and Carbon Fibre Leather, so it's probably come away from the aluminium.

I don't believe it been fitted correctly as the trim to the left of the stereo and vents is raised to much.

Not sure if BMW will do anything about it though, although 2 weeks isn't long so fingers crossed.

You should move quickly to resolve this. It looks like it will get worse ... and it is a VERY expensive part to purchase and replace. Here in Australia, the dash trim costs about $1000 + fitting.

thankyou for your help. ill ring the garage i bought it from tomorrow and ask about it.

ill keep this thread updated in case anyone else has a similar issue.
