Dash/Speedo Issue

Firstly hello......

I've had my Z4M nearly 3 months and loving it :thumbsup:
I'll do a intro in the Newbie section later with a few pics etc.

So, I have a random issue my Z4 at the minute.
Over the last few days when I have start the car the dash lights have been very slow on turning on (around 3-5 seconds) after the car has started. There has also been a random clicking noise before they turn on.
Also, the trip computer has reset each time.... all go back to zero and the time goes as well.......it's almost like the battery has been disconnected.

Has anyone had this issue before?

Any help would be great.

You will probably find it's the battery on the way out as these cars are very sensitive to a battery that's not up to the mark.You could try charging it up,then see if faults show up with a fully charged battery.
 
I was thinking the same too, but checked and a battery was about £200.
Dug the charger out last night and will charge it tonight to see if it makes any difference.
 
CTEK mxs5.0, ftw. Works a treat even reviving old dogs of batteries. Refreshed a 10yr old Bosch S5 recently. Had wrongly thought it was due for the knackers yard but not so. The CTEK has revived it to 85-90% fit for purpose again via the reconditioning program.

Little update.....it didn't start this morning (sods law I was running late already!!)
Tried it twice, just didn't want to start. Sounded battery but the windows and lights seemed to work ok.

Alternator or Battery I guess
