dash cam power source

I am looking to transfer my dash cam from my s2k to my z4 e89. I need a constant live and a switched live. Has anyone done this and which fuses did you use?. also it is ok to piggyback the fuses. Thanks for your help!!

I piggy backed off a fuse in the fuse box behind the glovebox for my sat nav and had no problems.
Read the fuse map first then check with a voltmeter to make sure it gives you what you want before connecting, drop the glovebox out for easier access.

Yes, but I can't remember which ones, and the useless sheet that comes with the fuse box has very cryptic pictures of what they do.... you'll only find out by testing, and be aware, the fusebox is possibly the worst bit of design in terms of access you'll come across. The first time you pull it out you'll be worried you're about to break something due to the access, and twisting it to get to the right bits.
