Damp passenger side carpet

Hi, I noticed last weekend that the passenger carpet was damp. Today I thought I'd take a look. After reading all the leaking posts on here I assumed it would be the door membrane. I took the door card off and the membrane is totally in tact with no rips or loose unstuck bits. While the card was still off I closed the door and poured 2 buckets of water over the passenger window and roof area. I then went in the car though the drivers door with a torch to look for water ingress. There was a dribble of water coming in through the bottom of the door more or less at the lowest part of the door under the door hinge. I'm assuming it's the lower door seal that's at fault. Has anyone had the same problem and is there an easy fix like pushing some flex in to the seal through a hole to make it push out more and make a better seal?
Thanks

Yeah, when I said there were no rips in the door membrane there was but very small. Any way I replaced that and the bottom door seal at the same time and now no water ingress at all. I think it was definatley the door membrane not the bottom door seal
