Damn melting snow throwing crap into the road....(puncture)

Picked this not so friendly fella up in my tread -

As its on shoulder its a send away repair (£30 odd) since there is only about a months tread left I have opted to forgo the repair and ordered a set of Falken 453's £122 + VAT fitted (£146) (Each) so will see if there is any noticable difference between these and the Falken ZE912's that where on, when I got it!

Not how I wanted to spend the best part of £300 atm - but hey ho!! :thumbsdown:

I'm interested in that difference. I like the ze912's. Just as good or better than the bridgestone potenza rflt re050a and dunlop SP sport imho.
Also good high speed stability; i've tested them @ over 280km/h (174mph) on the autobahn (gps speed, my speedo stops @ 260kmh :lol: )

I’ve just fitted 4x Falken 453’s.

£123 for the rears. £79 for the fronts plus £11 delivery from Tyre Drive. Bargain. Fitting was free as I was having my wheels refurbished anyway, so £416 in total.

So far so good. I’ve only done 200 miles on them so far but I’ve been really impressed. Good ride, not too loud and very good in the wet. Even on wet melting snow on roundabouts the back wouldn’t break loose with a boot full of throttle. Braking performance in the wet is good. I have a lot of confidence in them. Completely different and loads better than the run flats I had on there.
