Anyone know if they can be repaired reasonably?

Wifes damaged the rim on the front left, scraped 50% of the way round.

Alternatively how much are hte standard front alloys each?

Cheers guys! NOT HAPPY!

the ///m alloys are readily available, plus if i was you id get them refurbed and while i was their get a colour change!!

LOL how much for them new though?

The alloys dont need refurbing as theyve only done 5k miles - and no marks until now!

a new one from bmw!!! mmmm probably crazy expensive, so get the one alloy refurbed and get them matched with the rest of the wheels. job done.

Might be cheaper to get the wife refurbed

Beedub - have you got a 2009 GTR now then - reading your sig?

£30-50 for a cheap repair & rattle can spray touch up up to £70-80 sometimes more. The problem is the original paint is quite low sparkle/metallic. The sprays some people use are close but are a touch too bright. Shop carefully.

I bought 4 M wheels and tyres off the net worth about £2k for £750 I'd like them cleaned up so If anyone knows a place that can match BMW OE paint finishes perfectly let me know. I haven't found them yet! Apparently its a 2-pack paint or maybe that's b***sh**!

So one question is how much for a new one - and the other question is if i had it refurbed will the finish match?

Wifes damaged the rim on the front left

My girlfriend did this the first day i got the car, scraped the bumper as well. :( She's scared to drive it now.

For a replacement wheel from BM dealer, I was quoted £300. If you've got your heart set on a replacement you should definitely shop around. Alternatively, I paid £50 for someone to refurb the wheel. He was recommended from a bodyshop that BMW dealers use (use the dealer search on the bmw website to find a dealership with a bodyshop number). I was worried about the colour, that's why I went through the BM dealer.

IMO you should get it refurbed, if you get the right person, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Mine looks as good as new. Saves you forking out £300!

Yeah if the finish is right ill be happy to have it refurbed - shes well chewed up the rim though - how bad was yours when you had it done?

Wan't that bad. It was definitely visible though, probably scraped about a quarter of the way round the rim. The bumper was worse though, it was as if the kerb had 'sanded' it down (got someone to fix that as well, another 50 quid well spent). The guy that refurbed it said that he'd seen alot worse; the whole face of the alloy being scraped, and he was able to repair it. Definitely worth a shot. I wish i'd taken before and after shorts to show you
