regardless of any issues they are having, im close to asking for a refund and buying something similar else where

Slightly off topic. I have a shifter knob similar to the storm in configuration. Is anyone aware of a supplier or custom who offers or can make a leather cover? I'm happy with mine as it is, but I'd like to try something a little different. Thanks

right. quick personal update after nearly 2 months from my purchasing the v1 shifter from storm i have it. BUT its devoid of the storm motorwerks inscription on the base. know some people may prefer the knob with out the this small bit of detailing, but without it, it just looks like something from halfords imo. the website clearly shows the below image to sell the knob. and i placed my order based on the picture.

its ironic im whinging about a company logo im complaining about but even so...

now i will be fair and point out that due to my long wait (was told 2 days from purchase over the phone) i could have a 40% discount on the handbrake when they have completed manufacturer for the z4, an m engraving on the knob or a cig blanking plate for free. i havnt an m roadster and our cig lighter is hidden so i said id consider the handbrake...but all i wanted was the gear knob...

machinsist issues were the cause of the delay.

anyway. know i have to wait another week just to find out if the engraving will be possible (apparently its acid etched and they had been having quality control issues and the logo hadnt been going out for some time???) and then arrange an for an exchange.

for the price ive paid for this item it really has been a pain in the ass.

the product is well made and does what it says on the tin but.....as above :headbang:

would i go through this again...no, id try my luck with whalen.....

Dougs customer service is second to none. I've had a couple of his shifters, one in a mine and one in my coupe. Both came through within days.

But I do fancy one of the storm setups, the handbrake cover looks great!

Mine is identical to the image you have above, including the Storm writing ... Did not know they did anything else.

Mine hasn't got the storm writing from this time last year.............. and glad to say.
