Custom back box - coupe to roadster

Will a custom back box from an E86 swap straight on to a 2008 E85 3.0si roadster?

IT's a different part number in TIS/Real OEM, and I believe different mountings.

Looks different to me...

Different size/shape box, and different bends in the pipes, it's tight in that area as it is around the rear antiroll bar & spring.

The exhausts are different face lift to pre face lift. M54-N54 so different engines all together. So a coupe back box should be fine on your face lift car Marlon.

Have you heard it running?

Some of them can be quite loud, or have a drone that can be irritating on longer journeys, so you might find that you need the MrsMarlonSealOfApproval™ :wink:

No I haven't. I'm taking a punt. I guess worst case scenario is I swap back to my original one. Waiting for a quote to fit it at the moment, and the MrsMarlonSealOfApproval will be necessary too - lots of variables

You could ship it direct to Ducklakeview and get him to mod it - see http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=89154 - as he seems to have found a good compromise with the mod
