Small seep from either oil cooler or pipe underneath and sump a bit moist with sump flange a bit moist. 53k mile car. When started up couple of oil droplets burnt off exhaust manifold. Any advice? Pics attached.

Thanks for responding. So here’s the details,
09 plate with 53k.
Seeping oil from around oil cooler/ filter housing and wet around pipe fitting just below. I think oil was getting onto head gasket and slowly working down to about exhaust manifold.
When I started car up there was a couple of droplets that burnt off from the manifold. I knew to check this area and not too big a deal.
Sump gasket /flange all wet. Not dripping but moist and lower part down to drain plug the same. Drain plug wet with clear oil and under tray all black and moist. Wasn’t sure if this was long term seepage from oil cooler or if sump was also weeping.
Run flats on back and non run flats on front with cracking between all treads.
Both door windows scratched. Drivers really badly.
Car sounded and drove fine but suspension looked pretty rusty and certainly past it’s best.
Air on was just blowing warm air.
All 4 wheels corroded and needing refurbished which I knew before viewing.
Now this was £13k! Am I expecting too much? At this price I wasn’t expecting these issues and had confirmed with seller there was no leaks. As I was not sure on costs to rectify i wasn’t happy to go ahead.
When getting lift back to station the car juddered and brief engine light with solid tyre px and I think dtc warning. Car restarted and idle was erratic then died.
Restart and okay for a few miles then same again! Glad I didn’t buy it and have that happen 5 minutes later.
Would be interested to hear feedback from you guys
And needless to say I’m still looking for a low mileage coupe. Manual, xenon’s sport spec etc. and know trying to train home having wasted a day and around £160.
Do we assume it’s a 3.0Si coupe at this price? At this mileage it sounds like a fair price, but we know nothing about colour, spec, service history, paint condition etc.
For comparison, I sold my beautiful 53k coupe with good wheels, everything working and zero oil leaks last year for less than £12k. Hold out for a good one, pay a little more if necessary, you won’t regret it.
Before you look at any car, run the registration through the government MOT site and look at the history. Failures on tyres and brakes are warning signs of poor ownership. Advisory items that are not fixed for the following test are also a sign of an uncaring or cash-strapped owner. Next, put the car details through Autotrader as a potential sale this will give you the number of owners and any accident history. If the car had 12 previous owners then be a bit concerned. However, my own personal opinion is that if you want to spend £13000 on a car as a daily reliable runner, look at something else. Good luck
I had done all that and no flags
Car only mot’d and serviced a month ago. It was a 3 owner car.
Worse is the prices have jumped in the last few months and cars that have been neglected and not care for are asking money for what should be top examples. I’ll keep looking and hopefully the right one will turn up.
