I'm suprised that the E85 LPFP runs continually..if the engine is not running and rail pressure is built up why run?
Because there's no signal from the DME. It has power, but as soon as the DME flash is erased it starts running at full duty.

I've always flashed mine with door open and with a ton of ancillaries deleted. No seat belts, no airbags, etc.

Ah..well there you go..I know when flashing E89s they suggest /demand no ancillaries on, no changes in state of any switches etc etc

The way the CTek works is black magic to me and I'm not certain whether it would do the job correctly?
Does it not have a supply mode? Mine does but it's an MXS 7.0

The CTEK5 doesn't.
I wouldn't use it (or any smart charger) for this purpose. They have 'modes' depending upon the state of the battery - read the CTEK instructions and it varies the voltage during the charge period and pulse charges in some states, up to 15.8V initially. Probably OK if it stays in float mode 6, but if it goes to mode 7 I would think during a flash pulsing from 12.8 to 14.4V+ might not be a Good Thing?

I picked up a 12A charger off Amazon which actually does a really good job. Thanks for all the advice. I didn’t risk the Ctek
