CSL geometry settings with a square set up?

I’ve read a fair bit on here about people having CSL settings dialled in at a 4 wheel alignment.

I’m booked in for Monday and wonder what the collective opinion would be on this with a square set up?

I’m running 8x18 et 34, with a 10mm spacer on the rear and 225/40/18 Assy 5’s

The balance is already more neutral than with a staggered set up and the last thing I want is a 3.0si that’s ‘tail happy’, so interested on thoughts?

Many thanks.

I`m not an expert so sorry I do not know the answer for a square set up but I would like to say that based on how I was dealt with when mine was set up ( staggered ) I would say that if the place you are taking it to are any good they should know how to set it up based on what you are going to use the car for and experience . They should then set it up and explain to you what they have done and why . Then they should offer to take it for a test drive to make sure everything feels correct and you are happy . They should then allow you to return to them to discuss any issues you may have and adjust set up accordingly . If they will not do this take it elsewhere  Just my view :)

I’m not sure you can get a full csl set up with the 3.0si as the rear camber arms don’t have enough adjustment - mine don’t anyway so you end up max around 2 degrees negative.

I run a square 225 set up and I’ve actually made the balance a bit more rear biased by keeping my SE front anti roll bar and putting a sport rear bar. This definitely helps reduce understeer further and allows the car to move more on a trailing throttle, and generally just feels better. I have never had it snap round sharply braking mid corner though so it’s not too rear biased. I think it feels pretty good. The rear toe in setting will be relevant for you here. Mine is running a small amount of toe in at the back. Hope that helps.

I had chat to the chap today, seems spot on and gets excellent reviews.

Set’s up a lot of race cars, track cars etc.

I’ll feedback once done and ask him for his opinion

That’s really useful thanks, good to know
