when using the cruise control in the car does any light come on the dash?

i used to have a 3-series and the little green light would turn on, any light on the Z4?

not on my '03. I'm pretty sure this has been gone over already and everyone says no light, but they wouldn't mind having one.

But I do have a "door open" and a "lights on" light on the dash now which my '04 zed did not have

At a guess, its because in the E46 (where there is an active light) the controls are on the steering wheel where they could accidentally be activated, and the light shows when the system is active, wheras in the Z4, the system is always active (waiting for your input) but tucked away from accidental presses.

Ahh! I was wondering if any had the door open light. i don't.

When I first got my car last spring I went nuts on a road trip trying to figure out why no lights showed up on my dash once I had enough miles on the car to use cruise control.

Once I got over that and started using it my next error was mistaking the "resume" button at the end of the cruise control shaft for the dash computer control on the turn signal shaft. Unfortunately I was just heading into a turn behind some other car at around 50mph when the last setting on the cruise control was at around 70.

Happily application of the brakes quickly disengages cruise control.....

thx ... but i still find it weird that a car like a bimmer who loves to add more and more features, does not have a lite ...

some other cars have 2 lites for this function, one to let you know it's on and another to let you know it's engaged ... while the Z4 has none ... anyhow, not a big deal, as long as it works :D
