Cruise compatible?

I think I know the answer, but wanting an experienced opinion.

Oct 2004 build E85 2.5i SE. I’ve found a plug under the steering column casing, want to confirm if this is for the cruise, and if so, if it will be plug and play or if I’ll need some sort of coding carrying out.

That's not a cruise control plug. The cruise plug (you have a socket) has 4 pins but 3 wires.

Thanks, I’ll take another look. Guessing I’d need the wiring as well as the stalk?

Hm

I'm not sure

I don't recall the colour of my plug- I retrofitted cruise to my Jan 04 build E85, if its not pi55ing it down tomorrow I'll see if I can get a photo, but I think it was similar to yours?

Mine was plug and play, the only reason I am 50/50 is that the change happened I think on Oct 04 build cars (to not fit full looms etc)

Another inspection today, definitely only 3 pins and 3 cables on this connector. So looks like I’d need stalk and wiring?

I think I read that BMW stopped pre-wiring cars for all options some time in 2004 so your car may have missed out.

But "srhutch" above can make up the section of loom you need cheaper than BMW!
