Cree sidelights and foglights

Hi all,

Looking to update my sidelights and foglights as the current ones look dismal! I have a 53 plate 3.0 with xenons.

I've fitted Cree sidelights in the past with good results - no code faults - both on my TT and Boxster.

I know this has been posted before on here but I couldn't find any up to date results.

Any thoughts and links greatly appreciated!

Thanks again...

I bought the £30 ones of ebay. They were 50watt cree ones and they claim to be the brightest ever.

After taking whole bumper and headlights off i found that they gave me an error code and the side indicators stayed solid orange to indicate error.

I am going to buy a decoder/resistor to fix this some time soon.

But these side lights a bloody bright!!! Pure white none of that ricer blue!
Will let you know.

You could use navcoder to code car not to check sidelight bulbs thus removed warning lamp on dash

Cheaper now. I bought mine couple months back.

Aeroadster, I take it these are plug and play and worked with no issues?

Cheers...

Yes yes, you just take your old ones out and and put the new ones in.

You MIGHT need to buy a 'CANBUS DECODER' (just search for that on eBay) its like a little socket that attaches onto your original 501 sidelight socket and the cree bulb would then just insert into the new CANBUS decoder socket. This would avoid flickering or orange sidelights appearing. Simples.

Cheers,

Thanks for the info... I will look into getting this done over the next few weeks... When I get time!
