Crank Case Vent

I know there's loads of stuff on this on about here and there but just kind of want some reassurance:

Basically my car is drinking a fair bit of oil (I know they do and the limits they spec). I'd say maybe a litre every 600 miles ish

There is also what appears to be a small leak of oil near the CCV area (at the front of the engine bay on the intake side).

Got a small amount of vacuum at idle on the crank case and on the dipstick. Think I might try the water in a tube method but won't have time before the weekend and was thinking of doing this at the weekend if needed.

Also when I switch the engine off there's a rather loud sucking/gargling sound coming from around the dipstick

And when I changed the plugs a while ago there was a small amount of oil around the spark plug threads...not below...cam cover gasket maybe?

Anyway any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

If needs be, thinking of buying the separator and hoses and cam cover gasket and changing over at the weekend

Thanks in advance

Andy

Bought this, looks like a decent price for all that.

Just another thing. I split a vinyl glove and placed it over the oil filler with the engine running. It pulls that in as far as you want to let it. If that makes sense. Read a guide that says an inch for freezer bag sort of material.
It's way more than this.

Idle goes bad when removing cap and good when fitting the cap back / covering with glove material.

Hopefully changing this will have the car drinking much less oil!!
