Craig had to work so it was just me and Mike yesterday - glorious sunshine all day and quiet on the roads. Mike knew another approach to Alston so over the fells we went and yet again, it turned out to be a brilliant road! Any excuse to head up to Hartside as well. Lunch, then a chase down to Melmerby and back. My favourite road - a clear run down and sunshine what more do you want!
Some interesting cars at the café and a nice chat with their owners. The Bugatti rep was very impressive and made a fabulous noise. A lovely return via Middleton in Teesdale - there sure is a lot to see in this area but not much time to photograph when you're driving.
A brilliant day as always - made magic this time with sunshine too!

Yep the forecast is more unsettled for the weekend. Happened to us in Wales 2 weekends ago - fair weather leading up and then rain and gales on the day!

Not expecting it to be anywhere near as poor as that though this weekend. As things stand we my be lucky with the weather - check out the 5 day forecast, morning and afternoon in Hawick and Newcastle - the timings suit us - we shall see.

That Bugatti sounded epic - so crisp yet a smooth sounding exhaust - just looked like brass scaffolding but certainly sounded brilliant.

Weather has been brilliant all week.... Thought It was a good idea at the time to work every day till Sunday ohhh how wrong I was. Missed out on another what looks a good run out. Can't wait for Sunday counting down the days.

You'll love the new road Mike showed me - very near that tree lined drop down to the Allenhead's road - turn left instead of right at the bottom - cracking road
