Hi

Looking to get some alloys couriered. Anyone got any recommendations?

Have found these guys mentioned on the forum and they seem well priced, but others would be appreciated.

I wouldn't use Paisely. I have 2 experiences of them:

1. 3 days late picking up a set of wheels
2. Were supposed to pick up a bumper, and didnt. Ever :thumbsdown:
 
I've used Paisley Freight a few times,even though it's TNT that pick up.No problems yet :thumbsup:
 
Plenty of negative opinion on Paisley freight, enough to put me off using them. I have used wheelcarrier.co.uk in the past and was pleased with price and service.

Senditnow use Parcel force and are competitive, just don't know if they quote specifically for wheels, I prefer couriers that have specific wheel prices which makes online booking easy. wheelcourier are another one
 
Only ever use Citylink booked through Interparcel
Wheel,s + tyres 40/50 times in 12 months & only missed collection twice ( which was rectified the day after ) & never failed to deliver or incur damage :thumbsup:

paisley freight worked for me and the slight damage wasn't really their fault. they arrived and delivered on time.
 
We use loads of couriers to ship all of the world. They are all good except every company has that couple of bad drivers or use agency drivers. This is why a whole network is let down by one person.

I agree with interparcel for one offs. Hermes is usually cheapest but takes extra time. The brown option is UPS. UPS and City Link are good for smaller items (less damages) as they generally have smaller vans than DX or TNT.

I've sent wheels, tyres, exhausts, the only issue I've had was sending a bumper, they don't like bumpers, due to the shape. I've also sent to Europe without any problems.
 
I ship kit (usually IT equipment) globally with UPS regularly. They're a pain to deal with and their website is a confusing POS.

However - they collect in 30 min slots, they've never failed to collect, and it's surprising how fast you can get something from central london on a friday night to australia a day or two later! Comparatively, we found DHL painful AND unreliable.

You can also fudge the weights/dimensions in your favour (heavily) and they don't care, even if it effectively halves the cost!

actually - EDIT - waited for 3 days for a bloody van and cancelled and went with someone else - shame.

I have used Paisley Freight, many numerous times and have had zero trouble.. Collected ok; delivered ok and no damages, to date.. They get my :thumbsup:
