I'm just about to buy my first Machine Polisher (Meguiar's 220), although the deal I have found it doesn't come with a a backing plate. Do I need one, what's the difference with/without it (or do they come with one as standard and you can get better ones)?
Also, has anybody ever had a quotation from a bodyshop for the painting of the hubs on a Coupe? I know that a few people have done the work themselves but I'm not really gifted in a mechanical way!
