Couple of little questions

Hello folks,

I'm into the third month of ownership of my E86 and absolutely love it, brilliant little car.

I have two quick questions if you don't mind:

- With Meyle HD lower arms, can the ball joints be separated, so I don't need to replace the whole arm? I believe they can be but can't find anything concrete other than a few people on the web saying 'think so'. My local BMW specialist said looking at it he wasn't sure they were removable, but that didn't seem to be the general consensus online ...

- I'm picking up a cruise control stalk (to go with the loom which the previous owner kindly included in the sale). I'm loathe to venture into the electrics, even if it's apparently fairly simple. Is there anyone on here in the Bath area who's done it before and would like to earn some beer tokens?

Yes they can be pressed out and replaced, here are a few pics of my new Meyle HD control arms.
Meyle has the same number stamped in to 2 different ball joints so not sure what is going on there.

On the fitting of the cruise control wiring, I'm happy to drive to anyone up for it in the south west, or west Midlands / southern England
