was at portimao just the other week for the European Le Mans series. Epic track, so much elevation changes, quite unlike a normal UK converted Airfield track.

Would love to do a trackday there in the zed but its a long way to drive!

Looking good, that’s around a 2 minute lap isn’t it. Solid target to aim for I’m told. I’m flying out tomorrow morning to start 4 days on track for my first visit to Portimao.

Any tips I’m all ears :rofl:
 
Couple of points depending which group you're in, if like me you have an older bike (no electronics) and you ride in the fast group don't try and keep up with everyone else because I reckon 70% will have traction control and anti wheelie. Was out the seat at turn 3 getting on the gas to early following a guy that just pinned it coming out the corner :o full traction :roll:
Beautiful circuit extremely unpredictable weather, we had rain two days out of three :x
First corner very daunting but is very wide, undulations are incredible coming out of a corner front wheel lifting nicely then the track drops away, wheeling down a steep incline is a whole new sensation and very dramatic you'll love it after the first day.
Beware couple of corners suck you in a bit but most are really wide, good luck have fun :D

Older and wiser now ......... while at Portimao i noticed the bike not revving so well as it got worse it was definitely loosing power so i parked it :cry:
