Coupe wet boot / water leak

Sorry Dale, just checked - I'd doesn't work on white coupes, yours is therefore worth very little....will give you £10 for it? ;-)

I spent a good few hours with the hair dryer after pulling out the carpets as much as possible. Have a look at intravee coupe install for instructions to remove the trim & carpet - the storage well at the side of the boot was also full & must have sloshed into battery area with driving.

If you can't find it / work it out, drop me a pm & will see if I can help you further.

Do you find your car steams up easily once parked? This was the big tell for me.

PayPal transaction ok for you?

Thanks for the heads up on the thread, will give it a search. Lucky I seem to have found the problem early on, so there was only a small amount of water in the tray area.

I am confident it will be easily sorted. Although you may still receive a pm

Just as an add-on, no need to remove the rear bumper to replace the vents. Mine was leaking on the right hand side. Removed the boot lining/carpet and unclipped the vent from the inside and was able to re-install very easily without removing the rear bumper

Thanks for the info Phil, I picked the parts up this morning from the dealers, will be sorting it out at the weekend. Will try without removing the bumper as you mentioned.

Well I ended up removing the rear bumper, which wasn't as bad as I thought to be fair. The worst and most difficult process of the whole task was the interior boot carpet/trim.

I recommend that all Zed owners check these 'vents' as the seals on mine were compleatly perished, causing a mini swimming pool in the corner (Which can't be seen without removing the trim)

Overall issue resolved, although I did find another snapped rear coil spring while painting my callipers :(

Strange how we are all getting it at a similar time, must be a life to these.

I still don't get how people are doing it without removing the bumper, as your picture clearly shows something on the external wall as well as the vents in the boot.

Glad you are sorted & bummer on the spring.

You can push the vent from the inside towards the bumper to unclip, then pull through the hole into the boot.

Anyway at least it's sorted. As you say the carpet is a PITA and can result in sore hands!

Dragging up an old post, this helped a lot, dried out my batter box and removed all the sludge, hopefully it sorts out my hesitant starting now. Need to order a new vent as my passenger one was damp and the seal had perished.

Question can water get in from this area and what was this bracket that looks like it melted.
