Coupe prices

A friend of mine is considering a Coupe and thinks this could be a time to drive a hard bargain with any sellers, especially as the lockdown effects possibly increase strain on our pockets.

As we know the coupe commands a premium over the roadster, what do you guys think, should hold out in the hope that the prices will drop?

Prices are only guided by market forces , relatively rare the range you see them at can span from £5k to £8k for waht might appear similar but what you actually get for your money with a 13 - 14 yr old car can vary wildly so its more about buying the right car at the right price not the one that looks a bargain .
They are already down low imo , how far would you expect them to fall & how fast ?

I don’t know mate, maybe £1000-1500, I know the M market has slowed and dropped slightly. There are a couple of Coupés on eBay - leggy and a Cat D admittedly.

I guess a lot comes down to how a individual sees a cars value.
What some might think expensive others may think cheap.
My own thoughts right now if I was targeting a Si coupe
70k £9k
80k £8k
90k £7k
100k £6k
& goes without saying the figures will fluctuate with regard history, spec & current condition.
Others may see things differently :wink:

Those prices look pretty much spot on based on my experience of selling my Coupe at the beginning of the year.

I know January isn't the best month to be selling a car, but I got no interest until I dropped the price to £6,600 (it was on 91K miles).

But if you can live with an SE model you would expect to pay much less.

There might be sellers who need to sell, but there will probably be just as many who will hang on rather than let their car go too cheap!
