coupe hatch rattle

noticed a rattle when i open or close the hatch on the m sounds like a nut has come off and rolls doww when i shut the hatch then rolls back the other way when i opennit. annoying , anyone had the trims off , ? clips or screws.. anyone :?

Don't have this problem on a roadster

Hope you find whats casuing it as that sort of thing drives me nuts

Trims come off very easily, and you'll probably find a clip/screw in there.

Mine was fine until it went to a BMW bodyshop to get the surface corrosion on the underside of the hatch sorted. Came back and had this rattle/clinking as I changed direction. Finally found the culprit, but the panels still vibrate more than they did so am thinking of stripping them off again and sticking some felt to dampen it.
