Coupe envy

Only for a moment. Saw grey facelift coupe on the opposite side of the highway today, they are so rare here. But then I remembered how nice it is to do it topless

I change my mind daily, sometimes hourly :D

Although I've been out today with the roof down and I feel different when its dry and the suns out, wish that I could have both

Mods please shut this thread down at once. Before I am forced to admit how stunning the coupe is when you spot one. 8)

Oh Cr#p Too Late.

I saw a Montego Blue 86 as I walked to my car today.

Fell in love with the car and then walked back to mine knowing I made the right choice

I'm sorry, I'll stop being the smug coupe owner. The roadster isn't a bad looking car when the top is down! :driving:

Tbh having owned both now I loved my roadster but my decision this time round was based on the fact that if most of my driving is to be with the roof up then I get better visibility in the coupe................

And the fact is that the coupe is just so gorgeous...........oops sorry

I'm right there with the thought of owning both, that crosses my mind daily as well  I started thinking at work, it's so psychological when you look at it, was in too deep of thought.

Coupe:
sleek lines, from the outside we admire the curves and every fine detail that curves about the body, teasing us with the thought of whats inside, still keeping sophistication...

Roadster:
Throw away all inhibitions, let it all out, wild and free, from the outside with it's top on, the curves aren't as sleek and spectacular, but once the tops down...ummm. nothing for the imagination just action and the curvaceous lines better appear :D wow didn't mean to sound like my mind was in the gutter at all :headbang:

'nuff said. :worshipbmw:

E86's roof was designed by Tomasz Sycha, so at least I can claim I drive a "Polish" car.

The roadster is a lovely looking car with the roof down....If I lived somewhere with a drier climate I'd definitely go for the roadster.

That said I really think the roadster/ hardtop is compromised from an aesthetic viewpoint with the roof up....unfortunately most driving in the UK will be with the roof up (if used as a daily at least).

Coupé is a beautiful car, it's amazing what a difference a well designed roof makes!
