Coupe boot light upgrade.

Just plumbed this in after growing tired of the awful boot candle.

Soldered from the lights board onto the existing boot light.

Centre lights are threaded out of the holes that secure the warning triangle. (This panel comes off with 4 screws after removing the back covers to the rear lights.)

Not quite as impressive, but I bought two 38mm LED bulbs from Fizzmo on E-bay for less than £5 delivered and they are so much brighter than the OEM lights.

They don't sell them singly, so I put the 2nd one in my E46 Compact boot!
 
Great job, quick question the two wires on the led kit can they just be soldered directly on to the boot light housing terminals or do they need soldered via the lighter socket?
Really like the idea of using them in the footwells
 
in the cigarette end there might be some resisters, but providing you included them should be fine to wire up directly
 
The cigarette plug came with the lights, theres a small circuitboard inside the plug so I soldered direct to that.

The circuitboard might step down the voltage, so wiring direct could have fried the leds, so I didn't try.
