35iS 29K miles.

Tickover and startup totally fine.

Drive away and just let it waft along for first half mile - all ok.

Drive away and give very gentle throttle input - all ok.

Drive away and squeeze throttle more than bare minimum and it coughs and splutters a bit. I am not talking massive throttle input as it is 'cold' ... just more than letting it do it's own thing.

After 1st half mile, maybe less, all 100% OK. Goes really well when warm Engine fed with V Power.

Is this fairly normal ? It is only over the first few hundred yards - totally fine after that. IIRC my Z4M was similar, infact when cold lurched up the road if nor careful!

Yep - definitely not normal.

Mine feels spot on from start-up, I only take it easy for the first mile or so as I know it is cold. There are no outward signs of the coldness (no spluttering / hesitation / rough running).

Well, it's going back anyway as suspension 'failure' warning has now come on !! BMW won't come out as they say it is safe to drive to dealers but to take it there in the morning.

I am having no luck with this car yet I love it ... but in 3 weeks I have phoned BMW 3 times and am going to lose the car for a second time.

Having just driven it again it has coughed/misfired so BMW are going to have to look tonight as I am not happy driving it.

Have you thought about taking it back and rejecting it?

Yes, but it is 4 weeks on Thursday.

The stuff I have read says 3-4 weeks max - though the issues are documented. They took 2 weeks to pay me the £12500 they owed for my trade in !! Seriously unimpressed. A series of things that have destroyed faith in the dealer and the car.

I haven't even got the V5 yet !!!

Car only just taken away ... 3 hours but at least it will be at the garage tomorrow morning.
