Cost for track days?

Hey guys, just wondering how much you guys are roughly paying for a track day, and how many sessions that consists off? does it include a pit garage? how long are the sessions? is there an ambulance on standby?

here i am roughly paying 110 pounds for a day, 3 session, probably 25 mins each session.. (haven't actually timed that), and included a pit garage to get out of the sun to do some spannering if required.

how does that price match up to where you guys go?

Depends on time of year and track in the UK

I did an Open Pit at branshatch last december for £120 which consisted of driving from 9 - 4 with an hour off at lunch.

I think a garage is about £20, however i didn't bother hiring one, i arrived early and got one of the remaining ones that didn't have someone in it. Usually a fair few of them too.

Depends on the track, organiser, time of year and whether it's a weekday or a weekend.

I can get an open-pitlane (i.e. go out when, and for as long as you like) airfield event on a Saturday for £99, or a November BMW car club open-pitlane day on a Friday at Oulton Park for £150.

On the other hand I can pay £300 for a 6 x 15m sessioned event on the weekend in the summer at Silverstone.

If it's an airfield even then the organiser provides safety/emergency/medical cover (ambulance, recovery truck, marshals, etc.), and if it's a proper track then you pay for & use the provided services as most already have a medical centre, safety truck, fire truck, etc.

Most don't include a pit garage, some charge to reserve one, and others do it on a first-come, first-served basis.

how does that price match up to where you guys go?

MSV charge around 180 for an open pit lane all day in summer across their four circuits. This drops to 120 ish in winter. Plus the usual extras of course... fuel, tyres, insurance if you want, pads, instruction, its easily £500 a day.
