Hi, i am in same situation at the moment. My coolant warning light has been popping up as well. I went to halfords to pick up some coolant to top it off but I am not sure which color coolant was used before. Apparently it matters which color coolant you use according to the staff there. Any idea which one I should use on 03 3.0? Thanks

Just to put my mind at ease at the moment the light comes on after I start the car, light stays on for a bit and goes off. Checked the coolant level it was really low. Should I check for anything else or is just a top off good enough? Thanks
can someone tell me why my coolant is empty again 2 days after filling it with litres of coolant could this be because im stupid and ran the car for 5 months with low coolant light on? i hear it takes 9 litres i'm hoping the 2 lites i put in has been sucked into radiator or whatever NOt a leak???????????
2: r1ynf, I have had the same problem. I have changed the whole coolant after I have bought a car, and after that I have to refill like 0.5 liter a day. It was just a stupid problem with seal. I have changed the seal and everything is now ok.
My name is John I’ve had the same problem for the last fortnight only loosing a cup full of water. I was told it could be my water pump or expansion tank took it to a friends garage he found I had a split in my expansion tank bought one from euro parts £45 including new cap bmw wanted £91 without the cap hope that helps and it looks easy to do.
