lo folks i noticed the other day that the coolant warning light popped up on the ole dash, i never thought much of it tbh and checked that the level was low
Topped it up with coolant which cost £14
and thought nothing more of it, two days later the warning light popped back up, so once the car cooled down a little i re checked the level.
well it was well below minimum
however i could not see any leaks anywhere so i thought i'd give the ole girl a scream around the bypass
popped the bonnet and looked down and seen a puddle of water/coolant sitting on the floor pan
using a torch it appears that its dripping off the bottom of the trans cooler, which confused me because i thought it was oil cooled (n00b) lol
anyhow after a bit of research it appears that the trans cooler also gets fed from the radiator? and that it heats the transmission oil when cold,
Anyone had this before and can give me any advice, much appreciated
