Convertable Top Problem

I was working in the trunk/boot to mess with the amplifier. Apparently I pulled on the manual release (black cord about 1/3 from the right) attached to the storage compartment. Top worked perfectly before that. Any suggestions on un-doing what I have done?

When I push the electric button, the red light illuminates. There is no motor sound at all.

Have you lifted the parcel shelf in the boot which must be in the dropped position for the roof to work?

I checked. The shelf is down.
