Got my (wife’s) 2005 3.0i back from the mechanic who replaced all of the roof hydraulics. There’s two issues that I see )one related, one not) that I’m hoping to resolve rather than bringing the car back:
Related: when driving with the roof up and I hit 50-60mph, I get a very loud vibration coming from the roof area. When it happened today I put my hand and pressed up on the black plastic roof panel that is closest to the windshield. I can silence the vibration this way. Upon close examination it looks like it’s a little loose/hanging a little on the side that faces the pass door. I’m concerned that there’s a plastic tab(s) that are broken and it’s gonna need a replacement part. Experience/thoughts?
Not related: the windshield trim/glazing (aesthetic rubber p/n 51317017021 is loose and lifted up a bit. Should this be secured with adhesive? If needed I can buy another (under $100 usd) but I’m not clear on the install.
