Continental Sport Contact 5 - Do people rate them on z4?

I have been offered a full set of the above (z4 3.0 standard fitment) at £350 which seems like a great price to me. I have read reviews online and it sounds like they are awesome tyres, except for perhaps their wear rate. I was just wondering if people had much experience on these on their z4 and what they thought?

Yep they are very good tyres, one of the best along with others.

That price seems mega cheap, im guessing you have 17 inch wheels?

Have people been having issues with fast wear rate like some reviews I have been reading indicated?

No, 18's which is making me think they are a great buy. They seem to price up at around £475-£500 online.

Ran them on the DS3 and they were great. Can't comment too much on wear though as I kinda accelerated that aspect somewhat... Up to that point they were fine wear wise though...

£350 for four 18" would be an awesome price :o

Continental sport contacts 2 17" bmw approved runflats are £600 fitted with staggered sizes so a very good price.

I am running these on mine, have done for 5 months. They are the best I have used today's. Lower road noise, great grip. The rears were £170 each so your price seems too good, go for it if from a trusted source.

Hi,

I don't think these have been out for long enough to give a full assessment. I have just changed my Continental 850 (p) s (winters) and put continental sportcontact 5's on the back. I normally for summer have the sportcontact 3's all round. I found I could purchase the rear contact 5's for £117 each supplied only. I have found continental tyres have always performed well and wear rate can be related to how you drive?

They are a quality tyre and have good wet grip.

Regards
