This is getting more complicated:
Servicing – Oil and filter every year. Gearbox & diff oil every 5 years, brake fluid & coolant every two years. Other bits based on condition.
Oil – Mobil 1
Petrol – Switching over to expensive stuff. Aral Ultimate 102 when available
Tyres – Premium brands each time, varies based on price/ratings available at the time. Summer tyres on the E30 and E86, Summer/Winter tyres on the E46
Model - E86
Aerial - Whippy
Trim - Alu or Black
Gearbox - Auto

What about wheels ? And Navi ?
Wheels - Style 135 (or 32 or 73)
Navi - No (AA Atlas tucked behind the seats)

As a relative new-comer all I can say is my first Z4 got FM reception with a whippy, and my current Z4 with a stubby doesn't! (But my E46 with neither gets better FM reception than either of them. :evil:

Servicing – oil change every 12 months - this should be the norm for everyone
Oil – top of the range castrol stuff that matches the spec of the car - i don't see the point on skimping you will save what £15 a year?

Petrol – I wait until I have less than 50 miles range left (yesterday I only had 13 mile range left) and always fill with a full tank. If I'm flush I use BP Ultimate, If not Tesco 99 Momentum, If I'm caught short I'll top up with £20 scummy ASDA stuff just to keep me going for a few days. I believe in the fact that all British fuel is made to a standard so all of it is fine and the reason why I choose BP ultimate is because I get some extra mileage usually 10% off a tank and it supposedly cleans the engine better, it's mainly for the cleaning part I buy it. I should probably just do 1 tank BP Ultimate, 1 tank ASDA but I don't know how previous owners have ran it so I try and get as much BP Ultimate as I can to keep it as clean as possible. if I had owned from brand new I would probably rotate from 1 full tank BP Ultimate to ASDA as I don't believe you need to run just on BP to get the benefits. Like I said it's all made to a standard and the scummy ASDA was in jest, there is nothing wrong with any fuel sold in Britain.
