What's your milage? My CCV went at about 110,000 miles and caused similar symptoms at the start. It used to let out a blue cloud on startup before it complete failed!

65k. What's the CCV?

Don't be worrying your self it sounds like white steam i.e. condensation and not white smoke, if there was cloud of bluish smoke when starting whatever climatic conditions are then hardened or split valve guide oil seals would be suspect, remember it don't take two minutes to flip the lid and check all fluids once a week, like old saying stitch in time save nine. good luck with your pride and joy..Cheers Baz

Well I checked the oil filler cap after reading a post on a different thread. Is this anything to worry about?

This ones been covered a few times on here and that is quite normal this time of year with the colder weather. Keep an eye on your coolant level just in case but you're very probably ok.

So when did you get the Imola red M roadster, Laine??

Looks nice

Thanks. I got it at the end of October. I had argued with the garage about the Porsche almost from the start (it was drinking oil) and they finally agreed that the engine did have bore scoring so they took it back. The M// came up at about the same time so seamed like the perfect choice. Can't wait for a bit of good weather and a hoon :D .

Cool....look forward to seeing it(and yourself) at the meets/National etc.

Back on topic....this, as said, is fairly normal...had it on my 3.0i to no adverse affect.
