Connector question

New led number plate lights have just arrived, popped the old ones off, but the connectors don't match.

Am I being stupid and missing something?!?

I take it you mean the genuine BMW LED number plate lights? You need new connectors as they are a different shape. I'll dig out the part numbers.

I bought them off eBay, but I'm assuming the connectors will still work so will get on and order them.

Appreciate the help.
 
It looks like the ones I've just put in mine today. What you want to do is put the original plug back on, and then take the bulb out of the original holder. That is when you put the dummy bulb base in the socket, and feed it into the bumper.

As above, it looks as if you have the wire/plug in your hand that attaches to the lamp housing. Remove the lamp cover and fit the bulb in there.
