Connected Drive - Safety Cameras

So I have a 2020 G05 X5 for which I pay an annual subscription for the connected drive safety cameras which is brilliant with HUD. Collected new Z4 G29 yesterday. Tried to purchase safety cameras online and couldn’t. Spoke to the BMW Connected drive team and gave them the VIN. They responded today and quote:

‘Thanks for contacting BMW ConnectedDrive about the Safety Camera Information service for your vehicle.

The Technical Support Team have confirmed that your BMW Model doesn't have the safety camera information. This is why you're unable to view the package in the ConnectedDrive store.’

Is this correct? I’m very surprised a 4 year old X5 is OK but a brand new Z4 isn’t. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks

There are some options for the vehicle which you may need before you can use that service.

Maybe you need one or more of the following?
S6AE Teleservices
S6AK Connected Drive Services
S6C3 Connected Package Professional
S6U3 BMW Live Operating Area Professional

I have the above options and get offers to upgrade to the "Connectedrive Booster" service regularly.

Like PSQ777, I use Waze anyway.

I've just renewed my connectdrive booster as a few of the apps disappeared off the system, so, BMW charged me £89 to get them back again. I've noticed mine has a camera option but I've never looked at it (I know it has a reverse camera), I'll have a look this afternoon

Can you list a few things you lost when the Connected Drive subscription ran out? I'm about ready to loose my new car subscription and I have no idea what I will lose. I am assuming my backup camera is NOT part of the Connected Drive Package. I don't need anything else with cameras.

Connecteddrive was a purchase option shown on the options list, so i don't think it is a subscription. The Booster is a subscription they offer. But this is only my 2nd month of owning the Z4, so I don’t know for sure. The car is a 2019 so I'd assume it is a lifetime service.

Mines a 2019 car, the main one I noticed was Spotify, weather etc. and an email that went:
Your ConnectedDrive service is due for renewal.
Please note that the extension period of the following BMW ConnectedDrive service has expired for your BMW
Connected Booster
If you would like to continue using your BMW ConnectedDrive Services, please visit the BMW ConnectedDrive Store online for further information on the status of your BMW ConnectedDrive Services.

As long as I don't lose Android Auto, I don't really care. Waze (for traffic cams, traffic, guidance), Whatsapp and Spotify are the 3 apps I use via AA.
