Confused Sat Nav!

So my sat nav has started getting quite confused... I've got 2015 maps disc in the DVD drive

A classic example:
Driving up the M1 while under guidance, and all of a sudden I'm driving up an invisible road parallel to the M1, then I've warped down to Slough, then I'm flying through Scotland.. I think my car might have some super powers I'm not aware of?!

This happens almost every time I use my satnav in my car

Anyone had this problem before?

old maps . 2015 means you have 2015 maps , there's 2016 version available.

But last time I checked, the M1 existed in 2015

Heard about this problem before think it means the antenna cable has come loose

it'll be the gps signal going kaboom, I'd check the antenna! old or new maps doesn't make a difference, the road would either be there or not if it was old map.

Might be a dumb question.. but is the antenna for the GPS in the radio antenna? I.e. the whippy / stubby?

I had the same problem. Turned out just to be a poor connection at the GPS sensor connector. IF you cant get to the GPS sensor connector through the overhead light hole then:
1. Remove the sunvisors.
2. Work back the pillar and and overhead console fascia back towards the rear of the car. THis will expose the wiring.
I just did the remove and reconnect thing with the connector and "poof" it works. Probably just a little corrosion.

Think you will find it can all be done by just removing the light cluster. There is a post on here from Si Forks from memory who changed his.
