I have not been a member on here for long. I have wanted a z4 for 2-3 years and now finally have one.

People kept asking which one are you getting??? The Roadster or the Coupe???

My reply would be.. why the Roadster of course, that's the whole point, good engine, good looks, 2 seats and no roof!!!! What's the point in having a Z4 with a roof??

Now before some of you get a bit antsy....here's the Confession part.....Looking at this forum and the pictures that have been posted, I have to say that the Coupe is indeed

a fantastic looking motor and when it comes to change time will definitely be getting a look at.....Wish I could afford to have matching pair of Roady and Coupe...that would be cool....

When buying my Z4 back in 2008 I would have bought the Coupe as I was a little nervous of owning a soft top but they were out of my price range at the time a lot more expensive than a 3 year old Roadster but it is a great joy to drive a Roadster on a warm summers day and the back end of the E85 with French fry tail lights is the best view of any Z4

I looked for ages and swayed from coupe to roadster endlessly. In the end I went for the coupe as they just looked better for me. I use mine daily and don't keep it off road in winter unless there is a good sprinkle of snow. Mines not mint but is in very good condition. These cars are for driving and not being stored when it's wet. End of the day the car could get written off by anyone on the road. So go and buy one and enjoy it.

Good to see newer members of the forum, keeping the best traditions alive and well.

Enjoy your Zed.

I owned a roady. But eventually succumbed to the draw of the coupe.

You're only young once. I thought when I look back in 20 years time the coupe will probably be remembered as the cult classic.

Couldn't resist when I saw mine up for sale.... bought! :D

The Missus's hair made the decision for us, but when I get my own choice of second car (hopefully not too far away) it will have no roof as I don't care if my nose and eat hair get messed up. I'm thinking 6 series....

I can relate to that, the roof does not come down when the missus in with me either.... She actually saw a coupe and asked why I didn't get one of those??

But hey, I like my roady, it suits me fine to go out with the roof down, wind in what's left of my hair, tearing it up, on my own

I thought about a 645 too, it drove beautifully was thinking I could fit the whole family in here.... Then bought the Zed..
