Having binned the run flat tyres I have a can of tyre weld in the back.. I would like to purchase a small compressor to keep in there... any particularly good ones? (UK)

Do BMW sell the M mobility kit, or does it just with the M cars?

They do, but it's bloody expensive... I have the tire weld, so just need a small compressor, like the ones you get for £2 when you fill up with >£20 of petrol.... just wondered if some were better than others.

The cheapest tiniest pump from Halfords will do just fine as you don't want the weight. If you can't get the tyre to seat on the rim and seal then run a ratchet strap around the circumference. Tighten it and it will squash the tread causing the beads to seat.

I have a fair amount of experience in this area. The eagle eyed will spot I run some Jeeps all with on board air system. The largest runs a 13cu ft belt driven compressor with 250psi 10l reservoir airtank . I can easily run airtools off road, but probably overkill for a Z4....lol 🤣

<off to Google to see what the hell a "ratchet strap" is!> ;)

cool... I get it now... not quite sure I understand what you need to do with it though... maybe lack of sleep is making me 💫
