Hi Guys

I still haven't got my first zed yet but I am going to view one on Saturday and I have very good vibes about this one and the seller as well :)

What do you carry in case of a puncture anything? I will obviously take out breakdown cover but I just wondered how many carry a space saver wheel a jack and wheel brace, and how many carry a compressor and tyre weld cans.

Has anyone used the tyre weld successfully as I know I need to get something in place just in case.

It wont save you from a major blowout, but make sure you buy a decent electric compressor eg the round Michelin one - the cheap one I once had was a waste of money & space

Touch wood I'll never have to find out, but I carry two cans of Tyre weld & the compressor at all times

I appreciate a major blowout will be bad news :( have you got the Michelin compressor? Where do they sell that one?
And would that plug into the car socket

This is the one I use, though the digital readout tends to show 2PSI above what it really is on my separate hand held calibrated guage - u just learn to adjust.

Nice feature is that it has a screw on tyre adapter, not those naff rubber jobs... just check the cheapest one on Ebay - think I paid around £20 for mine

I bought a new space saver from sopers,cost about £100 .You need a 17in from a E46.
Just imagine stuck on the side of the road late at night with no tyre place open to get a replacement.

I've got a similar compressor as Jembo and a can of Holts in the boot.

If you're getting Holts, make sure you grab the bigger can, designed for larger wheels.

My view is that a blowout will likely damage more than just the tyre, and so driving away on a space saver is unlikely. Best to have a tin of tyre weld handy with a compressor. Sorted :)

Here in Germany. I don't bother with anything concerning a tire repair kit or compact spare. I just call the ADAC. They will dispatch a flat bed auto transport. I pay $80 per year for that service.

Cheers Adam I will get the bigger size tin and if that setup is good enough for you then it will do for me :)
