Complete pain!!

Putting the car back together having changed the CCV

Went to remove the O ring in sump (the O ring for the dipstick). Its gone brittle and broken up into the sump.

FFS what a ballache!

I'm thinking I'm going to drain the oil...would you recommend removing the sump to make sure there's none of it left in there?

personally ..I wouldn't bother, there's a oil pick up gauze filter, and an oil filter to catch it !

Yea I suppose it's in the sump so can't get passed the mesh on the oil pickup.
