Compare the CSL....

Hi all.

I'm in the market for a set of CSL's (with tyres, either Conti or Michelin) and knowing how much the various BMW groups vary on everything else service/parts related on price I was hoping to get a bit of a comparison on what people have been quoted for a full set.

I've had a quote of £2500 from Sytner Solihul with Conti's (£1600 wheels and £880 tyres (I know this doesn't exactly add up to £2500, I'm just lazy with math and the exact quotes are in the car)). And a friend that used to have an M brought a set from Murkett's in Cambridge for £2100 with Michelins.

Can anyone better this?

I'll happily travel within reason (south of Leeds and east of Bristol) to a dealer, so all input welcome!

I bought mine from Simpsons and the tyres from mytyres worked out cheaper than the dealer at the time but you then need to factor in fitting costs.

Tyres were around £600 and the wheels aobut £330 per corner.

Would love a set of genuine CSLs if/when I find myself a Z4MC. There's a decent contact on m3cutters who supplies replicas that I know everyone who has bought from really rates. I think I prefer the look of CSLs on Z4MCs than I do E46 M3s. Though in saying that the 19" double M spoke M3 wheels look seriously good too:

Your £1600 quote from Sytners is as good as I've heard in recent times. Second hand is your only other option I think.

I eBay'd mine for 950 used and added vreds all round for about 450 but I think you'll struggle to get those prices now. Keep checking pistonheads and csl register and leap on a bargain!

I don't know if that's because I've probably spent the kids inheritance with Joe though in the short time I've owned Z's .
