The Legend
 Exiled Scot in Maidstone
I spent 2 1/2 hours getting from Maidstone to Reading today - just 85 miles - stuck in inexplicable Monday morning traffic jams on the M26 and M25 car park. Saw loads of Zs, can't remember details of a single one for the spotted thread though... Couple of F430s on the road too, then I spot this lovely machine :

I do love the McLaren - brightened up an otherwise sh1te journey - sounded amazing, shame it was being driven by a guy who looked at least 70 rather than me :D

They really are quite lovely, saw a 458 the other day not sure which I prefer :)

You'd need one of each really, wouldn't you ? I'd have the McLaren in this colour in coupe form, and a white 458 spider with red leather interior. Like this one :

The MP4-12C really is a nice looking car in the flesh (especially with dark wheels)... but I'm really looking forward to the Spyder

Wow never seen one of those on the road

How about this:

Carrera GT and a SLS AMG:
Nice... I saw a black Carrera GT a couple of years ago in Munich, outside a very expensive restaurant. The car had attracted a fair crowd of admiring female viewers... so the owner came out. David Dickinson tan, yellow trousers and his jacket sleeves rolled up. He looked like an extra from Miami Vice.

Ooooo - I think that may trump mine :D

I've seen a McLaren on the road before, but he was going way to fast to snap a pic of, and anyway it was dark blue, which looked rubbish

Driving the M25 through Surrey and beyond of a morning does have it's benefits, even if you are going the square root of bugger all mph - there are often a LOT of nice cars on the road. Still glad I don't do it all the time...

I've only ever seen a Carrera GT in the Porsche museum, one of my favourites. Saw a few MacMercs

Not that I'd say no to a 458 or MP4-12C-ZX128-C64-PS3...

Mclarens are lovely from the front but look like a baboons arse from the back

Seen one of those mclarens in white a couple of weeks back, it was nice but I prefer the Aventador I followed for a couple of miles the week before!

Nice! Never seen a McLaren on the road. Ferrari's are rare here too, the newer ones even more. I do see a few Bentley's quite often, one of them convertible.

Aventador from Lamborghini London's twitter account, they often tweet nice photos :)

+1. Orange is a cool colour for the car.

On the way to work today, I drove and saw..

a jam. It's the back to school time obviously. I must leave the house about 25 mins earlier! It was okay yesterday! :driving:

I was passed on the M40 a few years ago by a Carrera GT at full chat with something approaching straight pipes. It was quite a sight (and sound!!)

Always nice to see a supercar in the flesh. There was a Mclaren parked up in Rutland Square Edinburgh a few weeks back. Have seen it there a few times

Dragging up a very old thread, but it is one of mine :P

Happened to be at a meeting at the RAC Club in London today and it turns out that Frank Stephenson who heads up McLaren Design is speaking there this evening. They had one of these in the foyer/rotunda, in this colour :

Only had time for a very quick nose around it, but in the metal... oh my

I think the Carrera GT makes one of the best noises out of any car,I saw one at a car show once doing 0 to 60 runs & it just sounded delicious, a Mclaren passed me going the other way the other day & that did sound well considering it uses forced induction.
