Comfortable good looking car for wife

Following on from my previous post my wife likes the look of Merc CLK 180K 2005/06, both petrol with auto gears, there are two models, one cabriolet and one coupe both FSH and low miles and one owner, one private and one dealer. Both in the same area about 2.5 hour drive away.
I know a lot of members here have owned a lot of cars so anyone know any bad points to watch out for with these, I will be buying more for looks and comfort than performance.
There was also a 2.7 diesel coupe but found the dealership had a lot of bad reviews on the web.

I read it that way and was wondering what 'comfortable good looking car' was on offer in exchange for my wife?
