Comfort vs Sport vs Sport+ on a manual car

I drive a manual-transmission E89 28i, and wondered what the difference actually is between the 3 modes of comfort, sport and sport+?

Is it purely about suspension firmness and traction control or are there other things going on?

In Sport - less power assistance on steering, more response on acceleration
Sport + - as above plus no traction control

I never bother with Sport + , just Sport

Thanks Matt, I found it surprising how little info BMW actually give in the manual about it!

I guess for automatics there's a much more noticeable difference to gearing etc.

The settings graduate the following (if you have them fitted):

Traction control settings (all)
Steering weight (all)
Throttle mapping (all)
Gearshift speed / ferocity (DCT)
Gear shift RPM threshold (DCT / Auto)
Suspension firmness (if you have adaptive dampers)

The more of these things you have, the more difference you will see :)

The owners manual treatment of some of these features is poor, the translation is confusing and it is condescending.
Use google freely for these questions . Here are some things I found: http://www.bmw.com/com/en/insights/technology/technology_guide/articles/mm_dynamic_stability_control.html?content_type=index&source=/com/en/insights/technology/technology_guide/articles/dynamic_traction_control.html&article=mm_dynamic_stability_control

Be sure to click on the tiny "more" button. They seem to begrudge full details.
There is more out there . I printed up several and don't have the sources but feel free to ask specific questions.
