Having so source 2 bottles of Dalwinnie and 2 bottles of Royal Lochnagar from the Game of Thrones Series I was faced with collection from the Distillery :driving:

Today’s route left Loch Striven and into Dunoon through Toward, our the other side on the A815 heading up Loch Eck ( stunning road) up through Strachur onto the A83 heading to Loch Lomond via the rest and be thankful. Up Loch Lomond to Crianlarich, then out toward Lix Toll, left there heading to Killin, along Loch Tay before heading onto the B426 and the B427 ( fast , high altitude single track ) then joining the A9 ( boo ) to Dalwhinie. Stop for fuel and two bottles of whisky then back on the A9 past Aviemore then the A95 to Granton on Spey. From there it is the Cockbridge / Tomintol road past the Lect yo the Royal Lochnagar distillery ( another two bottles ) from here you take the A93 through Glenshee and down turning off to Pitlochry, this presents Edradour distiller ( 2 bottles and a wee ) before heading to Aberfeldy, Killin, Tarbet, Arrochar then back along loch fyne to Strachur. Down Loch Eck , through Dunoon and back to Loch Striven.

10 hrs driving, sun our, little or no traffic and the roof down.

This is my favourite drive of all time in Scotland, certainly stretched the Z4MR 😉

It’s the only one I took, too busy having a blast :driving:

It was the most fantastic 10hr drive I have done , of the whole thing only one half our stint up the A9 was boring. Being a Monday morning in April and setting off at 7:30 there was virtually no traffic.
I will certainly use this agsin as a route for a good day out at the wheel.

And got my trophy’s

Is that the full set?

Sounds like you had a great day out - but there are so many more distilleries to visit!

I had a great tour of Scotland in 2008 (even though it was in an E87) - every time I read threads like this it makes me want to do another one. Just a shame I'm over 300 miles from the border. :(

Still waiting on my bottle of Cardhu to arrive for a complete set. Doubt I will be drinking them looking at the prices for a full set $2,500 currently in the USA and the last series has not started yet.
