Coli pack deteriation and other things

Ive been thinking that after 20 years surely things are going to deteriote on our cars, even though no Fault codes are thrown..Im thinking Coil packs etc etc

Whats your thoughts on it?

They'll be fine until they fail so save your money till that happens. I picked up a good second hand set some years ago that i keep in the boot just in case.

Coil packs, probably not. Doesn't mean it's not worth having a spare.

Rubber items e.g. bushings will be past their best. For everything else, just keep regularly using the car.

Just keep on top of routine maintenance, Mike Miller's BMW maintenance guide pretty much aligns with my thinking.
